WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR BEFORE YOU START TRULY LIVING? “There will be time.”
It is one of the sentences we repeat most often throughout our lives.
There will be time to travel.
To rest.
To love.
To call our parents.
To meet an old friend.
To pursue a dream.
To change jobs.
To move somewhere new.
To live a little more on our own terms.
There will be time.
But…
How do we actually know?
We keep waiting for the right moment
Sometimes I feel that we spend most of our lives preparing to live.
First, we wait until we finish school.
Then until we find a job.
Then we want to earn a little more.
Buy a home.
Pay off the mortgage.
Build a career.
Save some money.
Feel secure.
And then…
we will start living.
Except that when we reach one goal, another one immediately appears.
And once again, we postpone life.
Until later.

“Someday…”
Someday I’ll go where I’ve always wanted to go.
Someday I’ll learn what I’ve always wanted to learn.
Someday I’ll have more time.
Someday I’ll make that phone call.
Someday I’ll say what I really feel.
Someday I’ll rest.
Someday I’ll stop worrying about what other people think.
Someday I’ll start doing what I actually enjoy.
Someday.
It is a very convenient word.
It gives us hope without requiring action.

But time never makes promises
The more I travel and the more people I meet, the more I realize that life doesn’t always wait for the moment we decide is the right one.
People change.
Places disappear.
Relationships end.
Bodies grow older.
Parents grow older.
Children grow up.
And we ourselves become someone different.
Yet we keep saying:
“There will be time.”
What if there isn’t?
This question isn’t meant to be sad.
It isn’t about living in constant fear of the end.
Quite the opposite.
Maybe it is about noticing the beginning more.
This day.
This moment.
This conversation.
The person sitting next to you.
The place where you are right now.
Because life doesn’t begin later.
It is already happening.
You don’t have to throw everything away
“Start living” doesn’t necessarily mean quitting your job, selling your house and buying a one-way ticket.
Sometimes life begins much more simply.
With a phone call to someone you miss.
By saying:
“I’m sorry.”
Or:
“I love you.”
By taking one afternoon off without feeling guilty.
Going for a walk without a destination.
Doing something simply because it makes you happy.
Saying “no” to something you no longer want.
Saying “yes” to something you’ve been afraid of for a long time.
Maybe you don’t need more time
Maybe the problem isn’t that we don’t have enough.
Maybe the problem is that we’re constantly waiting for a “better” version of it.
For a moment when we’ll be less tired.
More successful.
More confident.
More experienced.
More ready.
But perhaps we will never feel completely ready.
Because life rarely gives us guarantees.
First, you have to take the step.
Only afterwards do you discover where it leads.

How many more times will you say “later”?
Later I’ll call.
Later I’ll rest.
Later I’ll go.
Later I’ll start.
Later I’ll tell them.
Later I’ll try.
Later I’ll be happy.
Maybe today you can replace one “later” with “now.”
Not all of them.
Just one.
Travel taught me one thing
When we travel, we often become more present.
We notice the street.
The smell of coffee.
The light at sunset.
A conversation with a stranger.
The taste of food.
The sounds of a city.
The ocean.
The rain.
People.
Why?
Because we know we’re somewhere only for a short while.
But the truth is…
we are everywhere only for a short while.
Maybe the problem is that we forget this when we return to everyday life.
So what are you waiting for?
More money?
The right moment?
Someone else’s approval?
Courage?
Someone?
A better version of yourself?
Monday?
The New Year?
Retirement?
“Someday”?
And what if someday never comes?
Maybe you don’t need to start a new life.
Maybe you simply need to start living the one you already have differently.
Call.
Go.
Hug.
Apologize.
Forgive.
Rest.
Try.
Tell the truth.
Take the first step.
Stop.
Be.
Because perhaps one day we’ll look back and realize that we spent all those years waiting for the moment that…
had already arrived.

Different Backgrounds. One Heart. ❤️
No matter where we live, how old we are, or what our lives look like, there is something we all share.
We only have now.
So I ask you:
What are you waiting for before you start truly living?
And if you already know the answer…
maybe today is a good day to take the first step.
