POLSKA WERSJA TUTAJ.

If You Could Receive One Thing Today…

If someone came up to you today and said:

“You can have exactly what you need most. Anything.”

What would you choose?

Money?

A new journey?

A better job?

Success?

Health?

Love?

Or perhaps…

sleep?

Peace?

A few hours without your phone?

A conversation with someone you deeply miss?

Or simply the chance to stop for a moment?

The question sounds simple.

But when we really begin to think about it…

it isn’t.

Because very often, what we want isn’t actually what we need.

We want more.

More money.

More travel.

More success.

More followers.

More experiences.

More of everything.

But perhaps what we truly need most…

is less.

Less noise.

Less pressure.

Less expectations.

Less proving ourselves.

Less comparing our lives to other people’s lives.

Less living according to what we’re supposed to do.

Walking by the ocean, taking a moment to pause and listen to himself.

Sometimes We Simply Need to Rest

For much of our lives, we’re taught that we have to earn our rest.

First we have to finish everything.

Take care of everything.

Answer every message.

Complete every task.

Help everyone who needs us.

And only then…

we can rest.

But the list of things to do never really ends.

There is always something else.

Another phone call.

Another email.

Another responsibility.

And suddenly we realize that another week, another month, another year has passed…

and we’re still tired.

Maybe sometimes what we need most isn’t another achievement.

Maybe we need permission to do nothing.

Without guilt.

Without explaining ourselves.

Without thinking that someone else is being more productive than we are.

Simply…

rest.

A peaceful moment of rest by the ocean without hurry or obligations.
A peaceful moment of rest without hurry or obligations.

Sometimes We Need Someone to Truly Listen

We don’t always need advice.

We don’t always need a solution.

We don’t need someone to immediately tell us:

“Everything will be fine.”

Sometimes we simply need someone to sit beside us.

And listen.

Without interrupting.

Without judging.

Without comparing our problem to their own.

Because not every conversation needs to end with a solution.

Some conversations simply need to give us the feeling:

“I’m not alone in this.”

And perhaps that’s why an ordinary conversation over coffee can sometimes mean more than the best advice in the world.

Because we don’t always need answers.

Sometimes what we need most…

is someone’s presence.

And Sometimes We Need Ourselves

Perhaps this is the hardest answer.

Because it’s easier to search for something outside ourselves.

Someone.

Something.

A place.

A new experience.

A new beginning.

And sometimes what we need is simply to come back to ourselves.

To remember what we genuinely enjoy.

What brings us joy.

What makes us feel calm.

When was the last time you laughed for absolutely no reason?

When was the last time you did something simply because you wanted to?

When was the last time you were alone with yourself without trying to fix anything?

Maybe that’s what you need most today.

Not another goal.

Not another plan.

Just a moment in which you can ask yourself:

“How am I really feeling today?”

And this time…

actually listen to the answer.

Maybe You Need to Slow Down

We live in a world that constantly tells us:

Faster.

Achieve faster.

Reply faster.

Decide faster.

Grow faster.

Get back in shape faster.

Reach your goals faster.

But we’re not machines.

We can’t operate at maximum speed all the time.

We can’t keep giving more and more of ourselves forever.

Sometimes our body knows before our mind does that we need to stop.

The tiredness appears.

The lack of patience.

Irritation.

The inability to enjoy things that once made us happy.

And instead of stopping…

we add even more.

More work.

More responsibilities.

More pressure.

Maybe that’s when we should ask ourselves:

“Do I really need to do more?”

Or perhaps…

“Do I need to do less?”

Maybe You Need to Say “No”

It’s one of the hardest words.

No.

I can’t.

I don’t want to.

Not now.

I don’t have space for this.

I’m not ready.

I don’t have to.

For years, we can be afraid of that word because we’re afraid of disappointing other people.

We’re afraid someone will distance themselves from us.

That they’ll think we’re selfish.

That we’ll no longer be needed.

So we say “yes”…

when everything inside us is screaming “no.”

We help when we have no energy left.

We go somewhere when we’d rather stay home.

We accept another responsibility.

We agree to things we don’t actually want.

And then we wonder why we’re exhausted.

Maybe sometimes what we need most is precisely that one word.

No.

Not as a rejection of another person.

But as protection of our own boundaries.

Because sometimes saying “no” to someone else is the first real “yes” we give ourselves.

Maybe You Need Closeness

There are days when we don’t need any big words.

We need a hug.

Someone’s hand.

Someone who asks:

“How are you really doing?”

And this time doesn’t settle for:

“I’m fine.”

Because very often, “I’m fine” actually means:

“I don’t know how to talk about it.”

Or:

“I don’t want to be a burden.”

Or:

“I’m afraid nobody will understand.”

And yet every one of us sometimes needs to feel that we’re not alone.

Not weak.

Not inadequate.

Not a problem.

Simply…

human.

People talking and laughing together during a genuine human connection

Maybe You Need to Forgive Yourself

This is one of the things we often struggle to give ourselves.

Forgiveness.

We’re able to forgive other people.

Understand their mistakes.

Give them another chance.

Say:

“Everyone makes mistakes.”

But when it comes to ourselves…

we suddenly become merciless.

We remember mistakes from five, ten, or twenty years ago.

We replay conversations that could have gone differently.

Decisions we wouldn’t make the same way today.

People we’ve lost.

Moments when we weren’t the person we wanted to be.

But back then…

we were different people.

We had different knowledge.

Different experiences.

Different emotions.

We didn’t yet know what we know today.

Maybe sometimes what we need most is to tell ourselves:

“I did the best I could with what I knew then.”

That doesn’t mean everything we did was right.

It simply means…

we don’t have to spend our entire lives punishing ourselves for the person we once were.

Or Maybe You Need Joy

The completely impractical kind.

The unproductive kind.

The kind without a goal.

Without a result.

Joy simply because life is life.

Laughter.

Music.

Dancing.

A walk.

The ocean.

A good coffee.

A conversation that lasts until late at night.

Doing something completely spontaneous.

Sometimes we forget that not every moment has to give us something.

Not every activity has to help us grow.

Not every day has to be productive.

Not every decision has to lead to success.

Some moments can exist…

simply because they make us happy.

Maybe that’s why sometimes we should do something completely pointless.

Just because it feels good.

Because life isn’t a project that needs to be optimized.

It’s an experience that needs to be lived.

Maybe You Simply Need to Be

Without a plan.

Without a goal.

Without another “I have to.”

Without asking:

“What’s next?”

Sit down.

Breathe.

Look out the window.

Listen to the ocean.

Go for a walk.

Let your thoughts move freely.

Don’t solve everything.

Don’t fix yourself.

Don’t try to become a better version of yourself.

Simply…

be.

Because maybe we don’t always need to develop.

Maybe sometimes we simply need to experience the fact that we are already enough.

Exactly as we are.

Today.

In this moment.

With our imperfections.

With our tiredness.

With our emotions.

With our history.

With everything we carry inside.

And perhaps that’s where real self-care begins.

Maybe the Answer Isn’t What You Expect

The longer I travel, talk to people, and observe their stories, the more I come to one conclusion:

very often, we search outside ourselves for something that actually begins within us.

We look for happiness in new places.

Peace in the next journey.

Acceptance in other people’s opinions.

Self-worth in achievements.

Security in money.

Love in another person.

And of course…

all these things matter.

We’re not isolated islands.

We need people.

We need closeness.

We need money, security, rest, and beautiful moments.

But none of these things can permanently fill a space inside us that we refuse to see.

So perhaps today we should stop asking:

“What else do I need?”

And instead ask:

“What do I really need?”Those are two completely different questi

Shades of Human Life Begins Right Here

The entire idea behind Shades of Human Life is based, for me, on one belief:

there is no single version of life that fits every human being.

Each of us has our own shade.

Different experiences.

Different needs.

Different dreams.

Different fears.

A different story.

What I need today may be completely different from what you need.

I may need a conversation.

You may need silence.

I may need people.

You may need to be alone.

I may need adventure.

You may need rest.

And none of these answers is better than the other.

Because a human being isn’t a project that can be compared with another human being.

We don’t have to have the same needs.

We don’t have to live at the same pace.

We don’t have to want the same things.

Maybe that’s why it’s so important to stop asking:

“What do other people need?”

and sometimes ask:

“What do I need?”

People from different cultures sitting together at a table and sharing a conversation.

Travel Taught Me to Listen to This Question

Travel has given me something I often lacked before.

Space.

Space to ask myself questions.

When everyday life stops being completely planned, you begin to hear your own thoughts.

When you don’t have to be in the same place every day, you meet different versions of yourself.

Sometimes the brave one.

Sometimes the tired one.

Sometimes the lonely one.

Sometimes the one who is as happy as a child.

And all of them are real.

That’s why I no longer believe we always have to know exactly what we want.

Sometimes it’s enough to know what we need today.

Not in five years.

Not next month.

Not when everything is finally perfect.

Today.

Maybe today you need to rest.

Maybe you need to call your mother.

Maybe you need to hug someone you love.

Maybe you need to say “no.”

Maybe you need to go for a walk.

Maybe you need to cry.

Maybe you need to laugh.

Maybe you need to do something spontaneous.

Or maybe…

you need to do nothing.

And every one of these answers is okay.

This Is Why C.U.D. Was Created

The longer I develop the idea of C.U.D., the more strongly I feel that it isn’t simply about travel.

Travel is the beginning.

The excuse.

The doorway.

But what really matters are the people we meet on the other side.

I want C.U.D. Experience to be a space where, for a while, we can put down all our roles.

Not be the boss.

Not be the employee.

Not be the partner.

Not be the parent.

Not be the person who always has everything under control.

Simply…

be human.

Sit around one table.

Talk.

Laugh.

Be silent.

Listen to someone’s story.

Tell our own.

And perhaps, for the first time in a long time, ask ourselves:

“What do I really need?”

Not what the world expects from me.

Not what other people need from me.

Not what I am supposed to do.

But what the human being I am actually needs.

Different Backgrounds. One Heart.

This is where all these ideas meet for me.

Shades of Human Life.

C.U.D.

Different Backgrounds. One Heart.

Three different names…

but one common thought.

We may come from different places.

Speak different languages.

Have different religions, cultures, experiences, and stories.

We may live completely different lives.

But when we sit across from one another…

we often discover that we need very similar things.

To be loved.

To be heard.

To be accepted.

To feel safe.

To have someone beside us with whom we can be ourselves.

To have moments of peace.

To have a reason to laugh.

To have hope.

Perhaps that’s why I believe so strongly in bringing people together.

Because sometimes one honest conversation with someone from a completely different world…

is enough to make us see our own world differently.

A solitary walk by the ocean at sunset during a moment of reflection.

Conclusion

So…

what do you need most today?

Don’t answer immediately.

Stop for a moment.

Put your phone down.

Close your eyes.

And listen to yourself.

Maybe the answer will be very simple.

I need to rest.

I need to be loved.

I need peace.

I need a conversation.

I need to forgive.

I need to say “no.”

I need to be alone.

I need to laugh.

I need to start again.

Or perhaps the answer will be even simpler:

“I need to finally stop pretending that everything is okay.”

Whatever you hear…

don’t judge it.

Don’t compare it with what other people need.

Don’t tell yourself that you should need something else.

Your needs are not a weakness.

They are information.

They are part of you.

And perhaps that’s why we need to learn how to listen to them.

Because throughout our lives, we learn how to listen to everyone else.

Our parents.

Our partners.

Our bosses.

Our friends.

Society.

The world.

And perhaps one of the most important things we can ever learn…

is how to listen to our own voice.

Shades of Human Life ❤️

Every person has their own shade.

Every day carries different needs.

Every story has its own light and its own shadow.

We don’t have to be strong today.

We don’t have to be productive.

We don’t have to have everything figured out.

We don’t have to know where we’re going.

We can simply ask ourselves what we need today.

Because perhaps self-care doesn’t begin with a huge transformation.

Maybe it begins with one simple question:

“What do you need most today?”

And with the courage to answer ourselves honestly.

Maybe that’s where the journey back to ourselves begins.

❤️ Different Backgrounds. One Heart.

If this story resonated with you and you’d like to support me in creating more independent projects like this, you can help fuel the journey.
